(WBTW) – One person was killed in a single-vehicle crash in Florence County Sunday evening, troopers say.
According to Lance Cpl. Judd Jones with the South Carolina Highway Patrol, the crash happened around 8:53 p.m., on N. Old River Rd near Boiling Rd in the Pamplico area.
Jones said the driver died on scene after their 2001 Toyota that was heading North on N. Old River Rd when they ran off the right side of the road, overcorrected and ran off the left side of the road, hitting an embankment and a few trees.
Troopers say the driver was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from the car.
The Florence County Coroner has identified the driver as Crystal Caroline Davis, 36, of Johnsonville.
