One person was taken to the hospital where he later died after a shooting near Timmonsville.
According to a press release from the Florence County Sheriff’s Office, the shooting happened just before 4 p.m. Friday at the intersection of Alligator Road and U.S. Highway 76. The shots were fired into a vehicle at that intersection.
Florence County Coroner Keith von Lutcken identified the victim as Eddie Darling. Darling was 56-years-old, from Hartsville. His body will be autopsied at MUSC.
The Florence County Sheriff’s Office is investigating.
