A man is dead after being struck by a train Sunday Morning.
According to Marlboro County Coroner Tim Brown, Richard Jacobs Jr. was hit by at train where Step Road crosses the railroad tracks. That is near the intersection of Step Road and Highway 177. Brown said the incident occurred at 7:44 Sunday morning.
Jacobs was 28 from the Marlboro County area.
