Florence residents will now have the opportunity of enjoying local restaurant food without getting in their vehicles.
The Waitr food delivery app expanded to Florence and has partnered with over 40 restaurants.
On the app, people can make single orders or group orders. There is a flat fee of five dollars, but it covers all orders regardless of size or the customer’s distance.
Florence is the third major Waitr city in South Carolina following Greenville and Columbia. But, the app is also available in more than 235 cities in 10 states.
In addition to bringing food services, Waitr will also provide 100 new jobs. Individuals interested in working for the company can apply online.
Interested applicants have the opportunity of making their own schedules and choosing how much to work.
According to Waitr’s Florence Launch Manager,Lauren Pitre, it’s a perfect job for college students or someone looking for a side job.
The app launched back in 2015 in Lake Charles, Louisiana. On Thursday, they will host their debut party at El Agave at 5:00 p.m.
