The Marion County Sheriff’s Office says a new K-9 officer will join its team in November.

A Facebook post from the department says K-9 Kilo will specialize in tracking fugitives, missing people and mental patients. Kilo will join the department’s two other K-9 officers, Narco and Una.

The bloodhound is currently completing training in Edisto Island. Kilo met members of the Marion County Sheriff’s Office K-9 team this week.
