DARLINGTON, SC (WBTW) – The South Carolina Highway Patrol reported a fatal crash Saturday evening.
According to the South Carolina Highway Patrol, the crash happened on Dovesville Highway, which is secondary highway 41, around 7:41 p.m., Saturday.
Darlington County Coroner Todd Hardee identified the person who died as Cornelius Bush, 39, of Society Hill. Hardee said he pronounced Bush dead at the scene near Ambergate Dr. and Cedar Ridge Rd. in the Dovesville Community.
According to SCHP, Bush was on a 2000 Suzuki motorcycle that hit a 2002 Chevy Impala.
The Impala was headed west on the highway and turning into a private driveway when the motorcycle heading east hit the front driver side of the Impala. The driver was not hurt according to Lance Cpl. David Jones.
