Saturday, the Girl Scouts of Eastern South Carolina presented the 2018 Mary Dean Brewer Women of Distinction awards.
The awards are to recognize women in eastern South Carolina that have demonstrated outstanding leadership and excellence in their personal and professional endeavors. Those nominated also must have been involved with the Girl Scouts as a child or adult.
This year five women will be honored at a gala dinner in Florence. Those women are; Lori Beatty of Aynor, Donna Isgett of Darlington, Dr. Lesley Kirby of Timmonsville, Christine Osbourne of Charleston, and Ruth Ann Wislon of Lynchburg.
