FLORENCE COUNTY, SC (WBTW) – South Carolina Highway Patrol reports one person died in a car crash Tuesday morning.
According to Cpl. Sonny Collins with highway patrol, one vehicle was involved in the crash around 9:15 a.m. Tuesday morning on Highway 76. Troopers report the crash happened in front of the fairgrounds when a 2008 Toyota Highlander was traveling west on the highway.
Florence County Coroner Keith von Lutcken identifies the victim as 73-year-old Irene Floyd, of Marion.
Troopers say Floyd veered off the right side of the road, struck a ditch and flipped her vehicle. She was the only person in the vehicle and was wearing a seatbelt.
South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating.
