Authorities are investigating after a body was found off of US-1 and 52 in Chesterfield County Sunday afternoon.
Chesterfield County Coroner Kip Kiser identified the man as 48-year-old John Blake Rivers of Cheraw. Kiser says it appears Rivers died due to a traffic accident. He also said it is unclear how long Mr. Rivers’ body was there before it was found.
South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating the incident.
