Across our area heavy rains are causing flooding as Florence makes its way across South Carolina.
But for one man in Nichols this is not the first time he has been impacted by the rising waters.
His name is James Fowler and he is watching the water near his house closely.
His old home flooded in Hurricane Matthew 2 years ago. Eight months after that Fowler bought a new home.
Fowler wonders how this can keep happening but says he feels lucky to have his wife and children with him.
