LAKE CITY (WBTW) -The Florence County Sheriff’s Office says they have charged a person with murder after they shot two people earlier in the month in Lake City.
The release from the sheriff’s office states 23-year-old Herbert McDowell III was arrested Thursday for murder.
According to Major Mike Nunn with the Florence County Sheriff’s Office, the shooting happened at McDowell’s home on North Green Road near Olanta. Two people were taken to the hospital for treatment, but one later died.
Keith von Lutcken, the Florence County Coroner, says Eduardo Aleata Graham, 42, of Lake City died.
Investigators believe McDowell and Graham were arguing when the shooting took place.
The Florence County Sheriff’s Office is investigating.
