HARTSVILLE, SC (WBTW) – A lockdown was lifted at a Hartsville early childhood center after a report of shots fired on Thursday.
According to Lt. Robby Kilgo, with the Darlington County Sheriff’s Office, someone thought they heard gunshots near the Southside Early Childhood Center on Blanding Drive in Hartsville. Out of an abundance of caution, the school was placed on lockdown while deputies checked the area.
The lockdown was later lifted, and the school schedule resumed.
