The Darlington County Sheriff’s Office responded to a deadly workplace accident in Lamar Monday afternoon.
Todd Hardee, the Darlington County Coroner, says 68-year-old Ted “Peter” Windham, of Lamar, died after he was run over by a tractor while working on his family’s farm, Windham Farms. The accident happened just before 1 p.m. in a field on Hibiscus Road.
An autopsy is scheduled for tomorrow and the incident is still under investigation.
