LAKE VIEW, SC (WBTW) – As families across the Grand Strand and Pee Dee begin to recover from Florence or prepare for more flooding, students in Lake View are singing.
Wednesday morning, more than 100 Lake View High School Fellowship of Christian Athletes club members gathered at the school’s flagpole to pray and sing for Florence flood victims. For the families who are just beginning a long journey of cleaning, salvaging and rebuilding and for those still waiting on flood waters to creep inside their homes, the students sang in unison.
The students sang “In the Eye of the Storm,” from Ryan Stevenson. As they sang, the students lifted signs for each community affected by Hurricane Florence and the subsequent flooding. Signs for Conway, Lumberton, Wilmington, and many more were held in support of those who have a long road of recovery ahead.
