FLORENCE, SC (WBTW) – A bicyclist died Sunday night after being hit by a car on Highway 52 in Florence County.
South Carolina Highway Patrol confirms a 2010 Dodge Charger struck a bicyclist from behind around 9:50 p.m. Monday night on Highway 52 between Lake City and Scranton. Florence County Coroner Keith von Lutcken identified the victim as 35-year-old Michelle Latreece Burroughs, of Lake City.
Burroughs died at the scene, the coroner confirms. South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating the collision.
