The investigation into a house fire Sunday morning in Lake City has been turned over to SLED. 

According to a press release from the Lake City Police Department, firefighters were called to a house at 134 Azalea Drive just before 7:30 a.m. When firefighters arrived they entered the home through the front door, which was reportedly unlocked. Firefighters noticed a small burn pattern in the carpet in the front rooms and extinguished a small fire in a hallway. 

The house appeared to be vacant at the time. 

A neighbor told investigators that the property belonged to a Shawn Graham. 

The case is being investigated as a possible arson. 

Lake City police were called to the scene before turning the investigation over to SLED. The investigation is still ongoing.
