LAKE CITY, SC (WBTW) – Lake City officials have lifted a boil water advisory that was put into effect after unexpected water main break has prompted a boil water advisory in parts of the city.

In a press release Friday morning, city officials said a water main break at Laurel Avenue caused officials to issue a boil water advisory for homes and businesses on Laurel Avenue, Camillia Circle, Camillia Lane and Rosewood Drive.

Residents were advised to boil their water before drinking or cooking with it until the city lifted the advisory Sunday.
