A search is over for an inmate who escaped from a Florence corrections center early Sunday morning, according to a press release from the South Carolina Department of Corrections. 

According to that release, Layquan Patrick Hanley “walked off” from the Palmer Pre Release Center in Florence. The Center is a minimum security facility according to the Department of Corrections. 

Hanley was serving time on a kidnapping charge. He is described as being 5-feet-7-inches tall weighing 156 lbs. He also has a tattoo on his right arm saying “Layquan”.
