FLORENCE, SC (WBTW) – A Florence house fire caused the death of two people on Friday, according to the coroner’s office.
Florence County Coroner Keith von Lutcken says a fire at 402 Timmons Street in Florence started shortly after noon on Friday. Neighbors called 911 after seeing smoke pouring from the house.
The coroner’s office says a husband and wife died in the fire and identified the victims as Geraldine Estes Gee, 52, and James Gee, 62, both of Florence.
The fire is under investigation by the Florence Police Department, Florence County Sheriff’s Office and the state fire marshal.
