HARTSVILLE, SC (WBTW) – The Hartsville Police Department is asking for the community’s help after a bicyclist was hit Monday morning.

Lt. Mark Blair with the department says the hit-and-run crash involving a bicyclist happened around 8:30 a.m. Monday morning at 5th Street and Hartsville Crossing Boulevard.

A witness told police that a white, older model pickup truck with black fender flares hit the bicyclist and drove off. A description of the driver was not given, says Lt. Blair.

The cyclist was taken to the hospital with possible broken bones, but is believed to be ok.
