A funeral will be held for fallen Florence County investigator Farrah Turner on Sunday. 

Turner’s funeral will be at 12 p.m. on Sunday at the Florence Center, according to a post on the Florence County Sheriff’s Office’s Facebook page. A burial will follow at Florence Memorial Gardens. 

Details about a visitation have not been confirmed as of about 12:30 p.m., the post also says. “Please keep Farrah’s family in your prayers, and ours as well.”

An FCSO patrol vehicle will also be on display at the Florence Judicial Center as a memorial for Turner, according to another post on the sheriff’s office’s Facebook page. Henryhand Funeral Homes in Lake City is in charge. 

According to Florence County Coroner Keith von Lutcken, Turner died on Monday, weeks after seven law enforcement officers were shot at a home in Florence’s Vintage Place neighborhood on October 3.

“Farrah was the ultimate professional, excelling at everything she did,” Sheriff Kenney Boone stated in a press release on Monday evening. “She dedicated her life to serving the victims of the worst crimes imaginable. Please pray for Farrah’s family, our FCSO family and for our community as we mourn her loss.”

The Charleston County Sheriff’s Office said local law enforcement officers will assist with the traffic escort of Turner on I-26 from MUSC back to Florence around 1 p.m. on Tuesday.
