FLORENCE, SC (WBTW) – Francis Marion University is one of two locations chosen for a South Carolina Gubernatorial Debate.
Francis Marion University will host a South Carolina Gubernatorial Debate on Wednesday, Oct. 17 at the FMU Performing Arts Center, according to a press release from the Performing Arts Center.
Governor Henry McMaster, the Republican nominee, and state senator James Smith, the Democratic nominee, will attend the hour-long event. The release states that FMU will host one of only two gubernatorial events that are a part of this year’s gubernatorial race.
The event will be telecast statewide on SCETV and broadcast on South Carolina Public Radio. It’s being presented jointly by SCETV and The Post and Courier.
There is no admission charge for the event, but tickets are required. A limited number of tickets are available and can be picked up at the FMU Performing Arts Center box office during regular box office hours, from noon and 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Interested parties can call the PAC box office at 843.661.4444 to reserve tickets, but tickets must be picked up in person. Limit two tickets per person.
