FLORENCE, SC (WBTW) – A Florence man works to make sure animals in rural communities are being taken care of.
John Thompson looks for dogs and cats he knows don’t get the love and attention they need, especially during the cold winter days.
Thompson has been providing food, water and supplies for animals for nearly 12 years.
‘I run into two types of people,” says Thompson. “Those that want to do the right thing but don’t have the resources, and then those that really don’t want to do the right thing.
Right now, he has 30 dogs at home. Thompson has either rescued or found the dogs.
Thompson said he wouldn’t change his animal help for the world.
