FLORENCE, SC (WBTW) –Florence fire crews responded to a fire at an abandoned house on Tuesday afternoon.
Around 4:18 p.m., the Florence Fire Department and the Florence Police Department responded to the fire at 115 Pine Street in Florence, according to Chris Johnson, Battalion Chief and Fire Marshal with the FFD. The fire department arrived on scene and confirmed fire and smoke were coming from an abandoned structure.
Firefighters were able to control the fire in about 45 minutes, Johnson said. Fire crews remained on scene for about another hour to extinguish hot spots and “do salvage and overhaul.
The fire is under investigation by the FFD and FPD.
No injuries were reported.
