Florence County officials have lifted evacuation orders as Tropical Storm Florence continues to move through the area.
A press release from Florence County Emergency Management says evacuation orders were lifted on Saturday for the following areas:
- Along Black Creek: Nena Lane, Split Rail Drive, E. Black Creek Drive, Stag Horn Lane, Atlee Court, Crooked Creek Drive and Creekside Drive, and along Lynches River: Ben Gause Road, Hawkins Landing Road, Meadowprong Road (Dirt portion of the road), Roundtree Road, Fork Road, and North Old Georgetown Road in the vicinity of New Hope and Lynches River County Park.
According to the release, the decision to lift the evacuation orders was made by Florence County Administrator K.G. Rusty Smith, Florence County Emergency Management Director Dusty Owens, and Florence County Sheriff Kenny Boone.
