LAKE CITY, SC (WBTW) – Florence County School District Three will hold registration for 4-year-old kindergarten in March.
Registration for 4K for the 2019-2020 school year will be held on March 14 and 15, according to a press release from FCSD3. Registration will take place at the following locations during regular school hours:
- J.C. Lynch Elementary School
- Lake City Early Childhood Center of the Arts
- Olanta Creative Arts and Science Magnet School
- Scranton Elementary STEAM Academy
A child must turn four years old on or before September 1, 2019 to be eligible, the release said. “To pre-register your child for 4K, call the school for which you are zoned to schedule an appointment.”
The following documents are required:
- “Photo identification
- State-issued birth certificate (long form required)
- Proof of income or Medicaid card
- Immunization certificate
- Proof of residency (current electric bill displaying service address that matches photo ID and billing date). If the electric bill is in a different name, you must present a notarized document verifying residency.”
“You must bring your child to the appointment for testing,” adds the release. “All students must be tested and qualify for the program.”
