Florence Co. Emergency Management: Frontier phone service down in Pee Dee, 911 access by cell phone

Frontier landline phone service is down in several areas of the Pee Dee, Florence County Emergency Management says. 

Phone service is down in the Johnsonville, Pamplico, Scranton, Coward, Olanta, and Lake City areas, Levi James, Jr., the public information officer for FCEM, says in a Facebook post.

According to the post, anyone needing emergency assistance will need to call 911 from a cell phone. 

Frontier is working on the problem, says the post. Any questions should be directed to Frontier representatives.
