A touching scene Sunday as members of the community line up to thank a Florence Police Officer who was wounded on the job for his service.
Officer Travis Scott was wounded when he was assisting the Florence Sheriff’s Office during the fatal shooting in the Vintage Place neighborhood.
After being discharged from the hospital Officer Scott is now recovering at home and the people of Florence came out to show them their support and offer their thanks.
Some just wanted to shake his hand, some brought cards, one person even brought cookies.
Officer Scott seems to be doing better and was laughing along with those visiting him.
