BENNETTSVILLE, SC (WBTW) – A dog has died after being shot in Marlboro County, the humane society said.
The Humane Society of Marlboro County said in a Facebook post on Monday that they received a female dog who had been shot and the dog was undergoing emergency surgery.
In an update on Monday evening, the humane society said the dog didn’t make it through surgery.
“Our vet reports that gall bladder, kidney were destroyed as well as significant intestinal damage,” the post said. “We are still looking into the details of this incident and will post updates when we learn more.”
