FLORENCE, SC (WBTW) – A Florence high school was tested for carbon monoxide exposure on Friday after a classroom was rumored to have been exposed to the gas. 

West Florence High School was tested for carbon monoxide exposure, according to Pam Little-McDaniel, Florence School District One public information officer. The district had the classroom in question, and all other labs in the building, tested for carbon monoxide to be safe. 

The classroom that was rumored to have carbon monoxide exposure, as well as other labs in the building, all tested negative for carbon monoxide exposure. 

All areas in the school are clear and safely operating, according to Little-McDaniel. 

Little-McDaniel says there were no reports of students getting sick.
