The Darlington County Board of Education has approved make-up days and a revised district calendar for the days of school missed during Hurricane Florence.
According to Audrey Childers, the public information officer for the Darlington County School District, the county’s Board of Education approved a revised version of the 2018-19 school district calendar at a meeting on Monday.
Students in the district missed seven days of school due to Hurricane Florence, Childers says. The district made up one day on September 21 and the following days will now be regular school days: November 5, February 15, March 7 and 8, April 19, and June 7.
The missed days also caused the ends of the academic quarters and report card release dates to be pushed back.
