FLORENCE, SC (WBTW) – Crews are responding to a house fire in Florence.

Multiple departments are on the scene of a fire at 2058 Brock Circle, according to a News13 crew at the scene.

According to the West Florence Fire Department, firefighters were first dispatched just after 12:30 Thursday afternoon. When they arrived they saw smoke rising from the home. It took crews from multiple departments about an hour to get the blaze under control. Due to the extreme heat conditions, firefighters had to rotate out and were assisted by Florence County EMS.

Firefighters say the home suffered extensive damage and crews remain on scene.
