KINGSTREE, SC (WBTW) – Williamsburg County rescue crews responded to a crash involving a school bus and a moped Monday evening near Greeleyville area. 

William Horton, the Public Information Officer for the Williamsburg County Fire Department, confirms units were on the scene of a crash near Old Forreston Road and Independence Circle. 

The SC Highway Patrol’s real time traffic system confirms a crash in that area was reported just after 4 p.m. Monday.

According to Horton, first units on scene said the moped driver had injuries to his leg and head, but there were no injuries to the passengers on the bus. An air ambulance was requested for the moped driver, Horton’s tweet stated. 

Officials have not released any information about how the crash ocurred.
