FLORENCE, SC (WBTW) – Three vehicles hit a person who was walking on a highway east of Florence Sunday night, according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
Florence County Coroner Keith von Lutcken identified the victim as 44-year-old Tyrone Wheeler of Dillon on Monday.
Lance Cpl. Judd Jones said Wheeler was on E. Old Marion Hwy. when the vehicles traveling west hit him around 10:08 p.m. Sunday. Jones did not give a more specific location. Jones said the vehicles were a pick-up truck, a van, and another vehicle he only described as a 2015 Nissan.
None of the drivers was hurt.
