DILLON COUNTY, SC (WBTW) – The South Carolina Highway Patrol says at least one person is dead after a hit and run in Dillon County Tuesday.
Dillon County Coroner Donnie Grimsley identified the victim as Lonnie Dell Bethea, 36, of Dillon. He said Bethea died as a result of being hit by a car and was on a bike.
Officials said the crash happened around 12:25 a.m. on SC-57/Lockemy Highway near Hope Court in the Dillon area.
SCHP said they are looking for the driver of dark colored 2006-2009 Ford Fusion with damage to the front driver’s side in connection with the hit and run.
