FLORENCE, SC (WBTW) – A vehicle hit and killed a pedestrian on Hwy I-95 Friday morning.
According to the South Carolina Highway Patrol, the wreck happened near the TV Road Exit at 4:30 a.m.
Officials say the person was in the middle of the highway when an SUV traveling southbound hit the pedestrian. The person died at the scene. The driver of the SUV is not injured.
The Florence County Coroner’s Office identified the victim as 62-year-old Gregory Pittman of Marion, South Carolina.
The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating.
