A chicken bog plate fundraiser will be held for a Florence County deputy injured in the October Vintage Place shooting.

The Fraternal Order of Police, Pee Dee Lodge 25 will hold a chicken bog plate dinner for Florence County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Arie Davis, according to a press release from the FOP. The fundraiser will be held on Thursday, January 31 from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the Windy Hill Fire Department, located at 103 N. Williamston Rd. in Florence.

Davis was one of seven officers injured during a shooting on October 3 in Florence’s Vintage Place neighborhood. She was released from rehab in late October.

Davis was shot in the lower part of the leg, the release says. Her next surgery will be to remove bullet fragments from her foot. “She will be unable to return to work for many months. Pee Dee FOP is happy to partner with Arie’s family to host a fundraiser to help with her expenses.”

Pre-orders are welcomed and encouraged and delivery is available for 10 or more plates, the release also says. Donations are $8 per plate.
