Florence County Sheriff Kenney Boone is facing a challenger when he seeks reelection in 2020, according to the South Carolina Ethics Commission website.
Thomas B. “TJ” Joye Jr. filed for his candidacy on Wednesday. Joye has 30 years of law enforcement experience and was the lieutenant executive officer over Troop 5 of the South Carolina Highway Patrol before he retired.
