Body of missing 81-year-old man found in Dillon County

DILLON, SC (WBTW) – The body of a man reported missing to the Dillon County Sheriff’s Office has been found. 

Captain Cliff Arnette with the Dillon County Sheriff’s Office confirms the man’s body was found Monday.

Dillon County Coroner Donnie Grimsley identified the victim as 81-year-old William David McDonald. The sheriff’s office sent out a press release to media on Friday asking for information from the public in the case. 

The person’s cause of death has not been released. The case remains under investigation by the Dillon County Sheriff’s Office and the Dillon County Coroner’s Office.
