A body was found in a field in Mullins on Wednesday.
Marion County Coroner Jerry Richardson says the body of a man was found around noon in a field under bushes near Cypress Street and Laurel Street.
Richardson also says it appears the man has been dead for about a week.
The body is being taken to the Medical University of South Carolina to be identified and autopsied tomorrow.
The Mullins Police Department is investigating.
