FLORENCE, SC (WBTW) – The body of a Johnsonville man was recovered after firefighters put out a house fire early Friday morning.
Florence County Coroner Keith von Lutcken says the Florence County Sheriff’s Office and the coroner’s officer are investigating the fire that occurred at 1708 Aulden Drive shortly after midnight Friday morning.
Once firefighters extinguished the fire, crews recovered the body of 38-year-old Byron Wilson, of Johnsonville. The coroner says an autopsy will be performed Saturday morning at the Medical University of South Carolina to determine a cause of death.
Fire officials have not commented on a cause of the fire.
