Police found a dead body in a caboose in Florence on Thursday.
According to Lt. Mike Brandt, with the Florence Police Department, officers responded to a call at 11:18 a.m. about a suspicious smell off of N. Irby Street. Officers later found a person deceased in the caboose on NB Baroody Street.
Brandt says at this time, the death doesn’t seem to be suspicious. Florence police and the Florence County Coroner’s Office are investigating.
