The ‘Wetnosedogs’ band hosted an event Saturday afteroon for the Darlington humane society.
“Everything is to support our animal shelter, so the more to come the more help we get, said volunteer, Wendy Ransome.
Band members want to make sure dogs find their forever home. The goal is to raise money anddonations not just for the Darlington humane society but for other around the Pee Dee.
“We found out that Darllington was struggling a little bit more than other communities so when we saw that we wantedto comeout here and support them,” said organizer, Philip Calder.
Dozens of people from all over town enjoyed food trucks, vendors, and possibly a new furry friend.
“We as a band are all individually connected with the humane society in every aspect of the community,” said Calder.
Volunteers are grateful people are willing to help those dogs who are injured or sick.
“I’ve been volunterring with the animal shelter for aboout five years and to be able to see so many people supporting them in a positive light, makes a difference,” said Randsome.
