Several area Christmas parade and holiday events either been rescheduled or canceled due to the chance of inclement weather this weekend.
In an email, Florence City Council member Pat Gibson-Hye said the parade was originally scheduled for Saturday, December 8th, but was postponed “due to the possibility of inclement weather.”
The parade is now scheduled for Saturday, December 15 at 11 a.m.
The Mullins Christmas Parade, tree lighting ceremony, and community sing-along event scheduled for Saturday have been canceled, according to Michele Coleman Rogers, with the Greater Mullins Chamber of Commerce.
The City of Marion Christmas Parade has been rescheduled for Wednesday, Dec. 12 at 4:30 p.m., according to Vickie J. Nichols, with the city.
