FLORENCE COUNTY, SC (WBTW) – One person is dead after a crash early Friday morning.
According to the South Carolina Highway Patrol, it happened around 3:30 a.m. in the Johnsonville area of Florence County. The driver was traveling south on Persimmon Ford Road near Deep Woods Road when they struck a ditch. The driver overturned several times. They were not wearing a seatbelt.
Florence County Coroner Keith von Lutcken identified the driver as 30-year-old Joseph Monta Nesmith of Hemmingway.
