Pee Dee residents properly dispose of unused prescription drugs in Prescription Drug Take Back Day

Officers worked to make sure people are properly discarding their prescription drugs Saturday.

The Florence County Police Department and Florence County Sheriff’s office along with other departments throughout the Pee Dee joined with law enforcement agencies in the Drug Enforcement Administration’s national “Prescription Drug Take Back Day”.

Residents got a chance to take their expired or unused prescription drugs to many different collection sites throughout the Pee Dee.

Some of the locations in the Pee Dee included First Baptist Church in Florence, West Florence High School, Johnsonville Rescue Squad in Johnsonville, Lake City Senior Center in Lake City, Darlington County Sheriff’s Office, Walgreen’s in Darlington and Hartsville and the Society Hill Police Dept.
