One person is dead after a car crash in Horry County.
According to the South Carolina Highway Patrol, it happened around 10:50pm Sunday night on Shetland Lane.
Troopers say a 2000 Chevy Cavalier was driving east on the road when the driver hit a pedestrian, who was killed.
The pedestrian’s name will be released after the coroner notifies the family.
According to the Highway Patrol, it doesn’t appear that charges will be filed against the driver, because it appears the pedestrian was in the road illegally.
However, the crash is still under investigation by the SCHP.
