Pedestrian dead after being struck in Florence

A pedestrian died after being struck and killed Friday night on Darlington Street Extension at Jody Road in Florence, according to Florence County Coroner Keith Von Lutcken. 

Von Lutcken identified the person killed as Antwuan Markius Miller, he was 29 from McBee. Miller was taken to the hospital before he was pronounced dead. It is not clear how many vehicles struck Miller. 

The initial call went out to authorities at 10:40 p.m. 

Miller’s body will be taken to MUSC to be autopsied Sunday Morning.
