PAWLEYS ISLAND, SC (WBTW) -The Georgetown County Water and Sewer District says the sewer spill has been contained and now crews are working on the cleanup.
The Pawleys Island Police Department encouraged the public to avoid the area south of Pelican Inn on Myrtle Avenue around 10 a.m Sunday morning when the spill was reported.
The department’s official Twitter account says there was sewage spilling on the roadway.
