PAWLEYS ISLAND, SC (WBTW) – The Georgetown County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the community’s help in identifying a burglary suspect after beer and crab meat was stolen from a Pawley’s Island restaurant.
Public Information Officer Carrie Weaver say two suspects entered the patio area of the Pawleys Island Tavern, located at 10635 Ocean Highway, around 6 a.m. March 13. Investigators describe the suspect as a black male, standing approximately 5’10” to 6’2″ tall and weighing about 200 pounds.
When employees of the restaurant arrived for work around 10 a.m. on March 13, they discovered the locks to two walk-in coolers had been broken and approximately four cases of beer and one case of crab meat had been taken during the burglary.
The suspect is pictured wearing a Taylor-made hat, a Chaps t-shirt, dark pants, and black and white tennis shoes. The suspect was accompanied by a heavy-set white male, but a photo of that man was not available.
